Job Description

The Senior Oracle Implementation Specialist possesses and demonstrates technical knowledge of the Oracle R12 e-Business Suite, Oracle Cloud applications and instance environment(s) for the Financials business segment. The Senior Oracle Implementation Specialist interprets business process and information requirements and manages the technical configuration and deployment process within the Oracle instances to enable business capabilities. The primary objective for this position is to implement solutions in compliance with technical standards and to maximize information value delivered from the Oracle environment while managing ongoing adoption, ordinary instance dynamics and strategic changes in the business’s operating model. This senior role possesses important group leadership skills and provides technical advice and guidance. These skills are intended to increase our group leadership capacity and technical skills. Using their in-depth knowledge and experience this person can resolve complex problems that do not have routine solutions. They are capable of working independently with minimal supervision and can lead large projects. This person is recognized as providing best practices and quality control within the team. Responsibilities Engage external resources (IT consultants) and provide understanding of the Vertiv operating model, the Oracle roll out plan, organizational structure and processes, as well as the business unit structures. Assist in making these resources most productive by this engagement. Strives to meet IT service levels through appropriate and timely action on IT Project Life Cycle process initiation, requirements collection, help desk case resolution, post-test remediation and post-change education of end users Strives to meet project progression and status reporting through appropriate and timely action on project tasks and project portfolio updates Creates awareness of activities and progress through regular status reports to management Understands and documents processes as needed Able to configure the system(s) and/or develops systems to support initial implementations and subsequent process optimization efforts. Ability to synthesize high-level concepts surrounding new work requests into a set of business requirements Ability to effectively present information and training in one-on-one and group situations to customers, clients, and other members of the organization Ability to lead requirements-gathering sessions with relevant business members Works with IT team members to develop solutions and ensure systems meet the needs of the global organization in terms of functionality and quality. Provides support to business associates on systems use as needed. Establishes self as a trusted advisor and thought leader to the business teams


  • Bachelors’ Degree in Computer Science or related field 5+ years’ experience configuring r12 EBS software, preferably experience with Oracle Cloud (or Fusion) Implementation experience with Oracle Cloud software Possesses and demonstrates technical knowledge of the Oracle R12 e-Business Suite, Oracle Cloud applications and instance environment(s) for the Manufacturing business segment. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications Additional Requirements: Analytical Thinking and Problem Solving- effectively identify business issues and opportunities, assess proposed solutions and meet stakeholder needs. Ability to work independently and as a member of a team Software Applications- skilled in use of contemporary project management and office productivity platforms to facilitate collaboration and communication among developers and stakeholders
